A TRADITIONAL RECIPE FOR FRIJOLES CHARROS
TRADITIONAL CHARRO BEANS
• 7 cups water
• 2 cups pinto beans (rinsed)
• 2 tbsp Arnie’s Charro Beans Seasoning
Add to a stockpot or slow cooker and bring to a low simmer for about 3 hours or until beans are tender. Adjust water as needed to your liking.
MAKE THIS RECIPE YOUR OWN
At the halfway point, dice, sauté and add these ingredients to your cooker:
• 4 oz chorizo
• 4 oz salt pork
• 2 strips of bacon
• 1 hot dog
• 1 jalapeño
• 1 tomato
• 1/4 white onion
ENJOY!
Finish with fresh chopped cilantro before serving or add diced carne asada, sliced avocado and fine grated queso fresco for “frijoles especiales!”
